11 HTML5 and CSS3 Resources

Built with exciting HTML5 and CSS3, my redesign site was improved with some awesome features of them, such as: simpler HTML tags(elements) like header, nav, border-radius, box-shadow, RGBA colors… They’re really cool!

HTML5 (from Wikipedia)

HTML5 is the next major revision of HTML (Hypertext Markup Language), the core markup language of the World Wide Web. The Web Hypertext Application Technology Working Group (WHATWG) started work on the specification in June 2004 under the name Web Applications 1.0.[1] As of October 2009, the specification is in the “Last Call” state at the WHATWG.

CSS3 (from Desinshack)

CSS3 offers a huge variety of new ways to create an impact with your designs, with quite a few important changes

Here is a list of some resources that I pass along on HTML5 and CSS3:

  1. A List Apart: A Preview of HTML 5
  2. HTML5 and The Future of the Web
  3. Coding A HTML 5 Layout From Scratch
  4. HTML 5 and CSS 3: The Techniques You’ll Soon Be Using
  5. HTML5doctor: helping you implement HTML5 today
  6. HTML5 pocket book
  7. HTML 5 Cheat Sheet (PDF)
  8. CSS3 Previews
  9. Introduction to CSS3
  10. HTML5 Gallery: A showcase of sites using HTML5 markup
  11. carsonified.com: 23 Essential HTML 5 Resources

I built my site with HTML5 and CSS3 after I read most of the resources above carefully and followed some of the examples. I think as well as you read those resources, you will do great on your sites with the exciting features.

Hope that helps :D
