Link: Process of Redesigning N.Design
Nick La who is a talented designer based in Canada yesterday posted an article about the redesign of his personal site, It explains every detail about the redesign as well as shows you the process images, I think that’s a great article to take a look and be inspired. And I think his new redesign is just awesome, he did a great job so far, I love this new one though the Phoenix one was awesome, also. And yeah, the illustrations on every page are just stunning! Just go take a look :)
After 3 years of using the Pheonix theme on N.Design Studio, I finally redesigned it with a Koi theme. The new look has improved a lot in terms of design and WordPress implementation. Every section has a unique layout which gives you a refreshing feeling. This post will summarize everything about the new design as well as show you the process images. Also, I will talk about how other sites inspired me.

fix Fatal error in Wordpress Dashboard
Oops, just got this error in Wordpress(WP) Dashboard when I set up my new project – a Class website, I haven’t got a chance to take a screenshot for this error, it’s something like this:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1966080 bytes) in /home2/user1/public_html/fantasy/wp-includes/class-simplepie.php on line 5353
I am using WP version 2.9 (Chinese), and after I login into the Admin side, the error appeared in the “Incoming Links” section. Actually I don’t know what happened and what’s the reason, it seems hard for me to understand or figure it out, haha. So I do a little search with Mr. Google, all I need to do is this – add the following line to wp-config.php:
define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ’64M’);
Then it worked for me!

In the 10 years Bob and I have been producing All Songs Considered, one thing we've both noticed is how easy it is to judge an album by its cover art. We get several hundred CDs in the mail each week, and as we quickly sort through them, we can often eyeball which ones we're going to like. Rarely do we love the cover of an album and hate the music, or vice versa, though there are exceptions (I almost always love The New Pornographers' songs way more than the band's sometimes baffling cover art.)

Opera: Bulletproof Rounded Corners with Border Radius
I just read Sam Brown‘s this note that about how to add the border-radius and CSS3 transitions and 2D transforms because now the latest version of Opera (the 10.5 pre-alpha) support them.
I was rather pleased to see that not only does the latest version of Opera (the 10.5 pre-alpha) support border-radius but they made the smart move and didn’t prefix it with a vendor specific property -o- like Gecko (-moz-) and Webkit (-webkit-) do.
